Simplify.

Our mantra for AirBed & Breakfast?

Simplify. Simplify. Simplify.

Booking a room with a local can be an arduous task via other sites. The experience for our users should exceed that of even a major travel site. Not that Orbitz or Travelocity are difficult to use (I book airfare with them regularly), but how can we make even easier?

These are the questions that keep us up late at night. If you think of something to improve AirBed & Breakfast drop us a line: contact@airbedandbreakfast.com

New design launches!

July 13, 2008 - 2 Responses

We’ve been hard at work refining our new site design. The long hours of coding (thanks, Matthew!) and eye for detail have really paid off. Nate has been cranking away on our back end, while myself (Joe) and Brian have been getting deep into the user experience of AB&B - basically how we can make it really easy to use. Our work is not over yet - look for additional pages to be revamped shortly. And of course if you have any feedback about the new look or spot something we didn’t, tell us! contact@airbedandbreakfast.com

AirBed & Breakfast comes to Milan!

April 7, 2008 - No Responses

On April 16, thousands of designers will flock to Milan, Italy for the annual Design Week. The event has been added to AB&B here. If you live in Milan (or know someone who does) this is a great opportunity to connect with an incoming designer, and make a few bucks on the side. Ciao!

Dear Early Adopters

Congrats! You’re one of the first few hundred people to sign up for AirBed & Breakfast. Thanks for believing in us at such a young age (we launched approx 1 week ago).  Our goal was to be live in time for South by SouthWest Conference in Austin, TX. We had over 60 beds posted for the event! Pretty, exciting, huh? We know the site is far from perfect, and appreciate all the feedback received so far. Keep it coming to feedback@airbedandbreakfast.com. We read every email (seriously). If you discover that the server has crashed, or we’ve made a goof with the interface, just remember that at one point Facebook had a few hundred site members, too.

Congrats everybody - it’s been a tremendous 3 weeks of late nights doing design and development. We met our deadline and are ready to help people connect online through the events they are attending, leading to real world connections.
